Temple vs Apple Health
Apple Health stores your health data. Temple reads it. Here is what that difference actually changes day to day.
Where each one fits
Apple Health is the system of record on iPhone, and Temple reads from it rather than replacing it. If you already have years of data there, none of it is stranded.
The gap Temple fills is interpretation. A store answers "what was my HRV last Tuesday". It does not answer "is that normal for me, and does it mean I should train today".
Every number is measured against your own baseline rather than a population average, because a healthy range is not a personal range.
Questions
- Does Temple replace Apple Health?
- No. Temple reads from Apple Health and writes back to it. It is a layer on top, not a replacement, so your existing history stays where it is.
- Do I lose my history if I stop using Temple?
- No. Your data remains in Apple Health, and anything Temple derives can be exported.
